The focus of the new ChessBase 18 version is on comprehensive player analysis, supported by the new features Style Report, Error Report, and preparation based on online games.

ChessBase provides valuable support in identifying anonymous players through comparison with the Mega Database. A helpful byproduct of the style analysis is the targeted search for strategic themes.

ChessBase Mobile (app.chessbase.com) enables consistent mobile access to cloud databases and opening preparations. For premium users, the Remote Engine is also available as a free cloud engine, which can be used efficiently on the go.

In addition to the notable new features, there are numerous refinements. The reference search has been expanded with important filters and new display options, and all icons have been redesigned and are customizable. AI (ChatGPT) has been introduced for the first time, but will play a central role in supporting opening advice, player biographies, and tournament information.

The new voice input for game notation and AI-assisted text generation for tactical analysis also offer extended possibilities and more variety in analysis.
