A long-used concept for analysis support has been and still is the "Cloud Engines." A user provides a powerful hardware configuration or a special computer, which can then be remotely accessed by another user for extensive analyses. In this way, a user with less powerful hardware can generate high-quality analyses and access them at any time.

The current version now introduces the Remote Engine. It runs on cloud servers in a German data center.

This has several implications:

1. With a conventional cloud engine, the provider could theoretically view the analyses.

2. Defined hardware is always available.

3. Loading in ChessBase is direct and can be used as the default engine (Alt-F2).

4. The Buddy Analysis feature is fully supported.

5. Premium users have a flat rate for small machines, which operates without the need for Dukaten payment.

This is practical when, for example, using a battery-powered laptop that requires an engine to run without processor load, fans, and power consumption. The local CPU can then work in an energy-efficient manner.

The engine is automatically installed and appears as "RemoteEngine" in the engine list. You will need either a premium account or an account with Ducats credit.
