Advanced Engine Analysis

The concept of engine analysis under Fritz/ChessBase and with many common chess software runs unchanged as in the early 90s.

The evaluation of the current board position is always in the form of numbers and letters. This evaluation by a chess engine in the form of pawn units naturally gives the user a clear help and valuable hints for the evaluation of the current board position. The visual display in the engine window implemented in the present program version goes much further and makes both the evaluation of the position and the analysis much more transparent for the user.

Example

A running engine analysis provides the evaluation, the program visualizes the placement of the pieces, pawn structure, king security, general activity and the sharpness of the position as a graphical display in the engine window. The user thus sees at "first glance" how the engine evaluates the aforementioned important factors.

This innovative form of analysis is extremely helpful, even the display of non-trivial threats or temptations can be recognized by the user much faster.

The program also offers the option of suppressing the display of the complete engine output and receiving only subtle hints as a stimulus to your own thinking. This option is excellent when watching live games, for example, and encourages more of the user's own thinking.
