Included with the program is access to pre-prepared repertoires. This puts at your disposal another easy possibility for the extending of existing repertoires.

This way the program offers you access to complete opening surveys dedicated to the most important opening systems!

 

 

 

These surveys are excellently suited to the learning of new openings; for club players as a rule knowledge of the most important main variations will suffice. Each of the repertoires on offer can be trimmed, or the view homed in on your personal needs. This setting is achieved via the button in the left-hand window.

 

The settings “Easy” and “Club” offer repertoires which are set out with maximum clarity for whenever you want a quick overview of an opening system.  For the settings “Tournament” or “Professional”  the presentation of the variation tree is correspondingly more detailed and more complex.

 

The following illustration is of the Easy setting for the Najdorf Survey.

 

 

As can be seen, the representation is limited to the absolutely necessary basic knowledge of the system. If you choose the Professional setting, the presentation of the variation tree is tailored to the needs of that target group.

 

 

 

Each repertoire is set up either purely for White or purely for Black. For each colour there is a clearly best move and everything else is ignored. Try for yourself and you will spot at a glance the difference in presentation. The settings “Tournament”  and “Professional” are suited above all to players who know their openings very well and who wish to get an overview of recent trends in theory. In combination with the training functions these detailed repertoires provide a solid foundation for spotting recent theoretical trends and for learning openings.

 

As previously described, you have available to you the option to upload complete selected repertoires into “My Moves” or to take in individual variations with the ways of highlighting moves which have been described. Alternatively, you can also save the variation tree as a game and do more work on it at a later date.
