Just set beauty values once for a database, ideally for your large reference database.

 

There are several ways to Rome, also in the program you can set beauty values with different methods.

You want to set the beauty values for selected games only?

 

Game selection in the game list - right click - context menu - Set Beauty

 

 

You should set the beauty values once for your large database. This can take several hours, because every game has to be replayed and every position has to be briefly examined for tactical motives. A fast computer can handle about 600 games per second. Another possible application is to create a database with games of a certain player and to classify them with the beauty value. You will then immediately see the tactically most explosive games at the top of the game list, based on the column sorting.

 

The functions described above are only available in the new data format 2CBH.

 

On all database types (also Cloud or PGN) you can search for nice games:

 

To do so, click on "Beautiful games" in the advanced search mask.

 

 

This finds all the lots with at least one Order of Beauty.
