Games which are heavily annotated with variations, such as for example opening analyses, are more clearly structured and easier to read with the new version of the program. What has made it possible to make one’s way better through the deeply nested variation trees is the marking of the variations with different colours.

The effect can easily be seen by trying it out. When playing through a game you recognise within the notation alternative moves of the same level of importance because they are highlighted with the same colour.

Alternatives to the current variation are made to stand out as though with a text highlighter pen. The user can spot at a glance which move order brought about the present position and what the continuation looks like.
