The program is now able to classify openings more precisely. The feature „Classify Opening“ now makes it possible for the user to state to what opening system a particular board position belongs.

 

Note: This function is only useful in the opening phase of a game. In the middle and endgame it is no longer possible to make a classification.

 

This function is in the menu Analysis – Classify Opening .

 

 

Select this function during a game’s opening. The following example shows the result:

 

 

 

 

The program examines the board and compares it with classification positions. In this example it was possible to make an exact correllation with an opening, and the name is presented in the information box.

 

In the Database window click the tab Openings to see the Opening classification of your Database.
