Menu File – User info

 

 

When you start the program for the first time it will ask you for your full name, your town, and the name of your computer (e.g. “Pentium 400/128”). It also asks you whether you are a beginner, a hobby player, or a club player. If you choose the first it will start in “Friend mode”, set long algebraic notation, and put co-ordinates around the chessboard.

 

The user information is used when saving games and for the chatter messages on the screen. It can easily be changed by clicking “User info” in the “Tools” menu.
